All that Glitters Aint Gold....

....Believe me...because today it was I that glittered and I may be good but I am certainly not gold!

One of my very good friends who was in my class today thought it would be highly amusing to blow glitter at me!!!
Every time I moved showers of sparkles fell from me which I have to admit was very pretty and got me the nickname of glitter girl which I bloody feel like this week...I was making the bed earlier and there is glitter in my bed although I suppose it makes a change from the little squares from the back of double sided foam pads!!!
I was teaching a scrap booking class and we were making our own glittered chipboard embellishments, which are actually rather lush and a fraction of the price of ready made ones, plus you can co-ordinate them to match your card or layout.
To make them all you need to do is die cut the shape of your choice from grey board or mount board, paint in a co-ordinating acrylic, we used pink today, that way the nasty grey board does not show through, when dry cover the whole shape with sticky blue glue and when this has dried add your glitter and shake of the excess...simple but very effective. Perfect for Christmas too, I am going to do some little white snowflakes from the baby face cuttlebug alphabet.
This is the card I finished last night but was not able to photograph because it gets dark at stupid o clock, the little flowers that make up the wreath are pre fringed quilling strips...life is far too short to fringe your own!!! The "spotty paper" is core-dinations card run through the cuttlebug with the Swiss dots embossing folder and then sanded, I love this card and this embossing folder at the moment...can you tell!!!
I am off now to wash the remaining glitter out of my hair!!!

OOh Sparkle-Est! Sounds great fun! Love the way you have used the frilly quilling flowers for the wreath!

So pretty. Your stories make me laugh too, it all sounds so familiar, glitter, little squares...... I thought I had a corn on my toe once, limped around all day, then when I got home and took my shoe off I had an adhesive gem (pink!) stuck to the outside of my little toe.
