On A bit of a roll now

Had myself a perfect afternoon crafting in the peace and quiet...I had the house to myself ALL afternoon and apart from being rudely interupted by the TESCO home delivery man (and then having to put the shopping away!!!) I sat for about three glorious hours creating!
Unfortunately this happened:

But despite all that chaos I managed to create this layout which is one of the photographs that the fabulous Kirsty Wiseman insited on taking of me. I love these scrumptious new papers too, manufactured by SEI they are double sided and are foiled too. I really like their papers at the moment. The plain cardstock I have used is my new favourite card...core-dinations...beats Bazzil hands down, which was my previous favourite but is in the second league now as it does not have that all important core!!!

The journalling on this reads...

"I don`t always look this good! Airbrushed by Kirsty. June 2008"

And then being a true Cardmaker/Scrapbooker I used all the bits I had left over and came up with this:

You could say I have had a blue day today!!!

Well Turquoise and green anyway...off now to complete another layout...good old pink this time!!!

I have made some cards

Oh the shock and shame of it, I have not done any crafting for over a week...I know its been that long because I couldn`t find my X-cuts today and they were still in my teaching bag...from last Friday!!! Okay I do have the excuse that I have been ill but I can`t believe it has been a week since I made anything. I feel so much better physically today but I am exhausted from lack of sleep, my bed looked very inviting while I was upstairs just now!!!

Okay this morning I finally got my backside in gear, got out my new stash of Core-dinations...omg this card is to die for, you can sand it, tear it, emboss it and the core is a contrasting or tonal colour... yummmmmmeeeeee...I am so easily pleased sometimes!!! I also had a stash of flocking, now I have never used this before and had a little play and personally have decided I like it better when it is stuck with a dry adhesive...just call me a double sided tape girl...so to make some little embellies I have stuck some DST on some card, die cut it and then peeled away the backing to reveal the adhesive...stick on your flock and voila...little flocked flowers! Be warned though this stuff goes everywhere and my desk is now covered in a light sprinkling of white flock. I have also stuck DST directly onto a card to add a "flocked ribbon".
So all the ladies that are booked into my workshop on Wednesday at Edwin Allen These are the cards you will be making...using Core-dinations and flocking and...cutting apertures...yes with a craft knife!!!

Oh and have a look at this little beauty, I love it nearly as much as my new camera...Introducing my new phone....

Tis called a "Tocca" and I am having a bit of trouble getting to grips with the "touch screen" but I will get the hang of it...eventually!!!

Thanks for looking I am off to do some scrapping now xxx

Sniff Sniff, Sneeze Sneeze, Cough Cough!!!

I still have this nasty little bug, I say bug but I think there are hundreds of them taking over my body and rendering me completely useless...I had to cancel a class tonight because there was no way I could even face the thought of standing up in front of 15 teenagers and being in control...I hate being ill...I hate not being able to run up some stairs or walk down Oxford street without needing an extra large cannister of oxygen to return my breathing and heart rate to normal levels...Argggggggggggggg...

I have been ill for FOUR days...I have got NO work done, I can`t be bothered with my new phone, which is seriously annoying me...I just want to be able to function...My survival kit instead of double sided tape, scissors and an abundance of Basic Grey Papers are these:

and these which were bought for me today by a very sweet friend...

I am planning on working ALL weekend, I have two workshops and a couple of classes to prepare all for next week...But I did manage to get my little hands on some Coredinations card which I am very excited about and I have a couple of Jars of fun flock to play with too. I need to get some scrapbooking done too...250+ pictures taken last weekend are begging to be played with...watch this space!!!

I have a bug

...and this is how I feel...like little men are inside me wringing all the energy and vitality out of me...I did the ironing earlier this evening then had to sit down, and promptly fell asleep...Then I had to cook tea, had to have a little sit down after that too. I have a horrible hacking cough that when starts little men are hammering at my ribs and spine with picks and axes...But apart from that I am okay...good to go.
I was teaching today and was totally rubbish, I just did not have the energy to be enthusiastic about it so for anyone who attended my class who is reading this I am sorry.
I am meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow and I have a shopping trip with another friend planned on Friday ... I have to get better I am a lady wot lunches!!!

My Girl`s got Gusto

It was the Junior sports day today...Ella-Rose star of the day...one proud mum...Ella won four out of five of her races...she is a runner and what a bloody runner she is...This picture shows her in second place on the home run of a 400 metre race...she went on to win this...

My god I have never seen her runing before, she runs for her school on the cross country team but I have never been to watch her. Ella has the most incredible long legs and boy does she use them...sorry to gush but I am so proud of my little girlie...The juniors are a bit more competitive than the infants and they are all in House teams...Ella is in St Patricks who won by a landslide thanks to her efforts in this and her other races and the other kids in her house who are all totally fabulous...the kids are really supportive of each other and very committed to their team members which was fabulous to watch, the teachers are so dedicated to the kids too and encourage them so much...lovely afternoon and even the rain held off which is always a blessing...so I may have a bit of sunburn...I am getting closer to that coconut oil I can feel it

Wonderful Wednesday...What!!!

Half way through the week already and you know you get that feeling when you have not achieved half as much as you wanted too...I think I am a little distracted!!!
I have finished off a lot of projects and comissions but things have been slipping my mind a bit, I had a comissioned card to do for a 13 year old who is having a Grease themed party, her mum asked me to make a co-ordinating card which I did, and I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed making it, it was simply divine full of pink and lushness, she was over the moon with it when she picked it up only I forgot to take a photo...so Jackie if you are reading this please send me a photo of The pink card...xxx.
Also have been meaning to go craft shopping all week...You see I NEED some new Coordinations card because apparantly its full of gorgeousness and I still have not seen a single sheet and have not had the time to go anywhere to view its beauty!!!
I have also completed four layouts this week and keep forgetting to take photos in the daylight...not that we have had any daylight here today, I have hired a boat and will be rowing the kids to school tomorrow at this rate...July...pah...more like bloody November...I had a coat on today...A COAT!!! I should be outside wearing my new Bikini on my new sun lounger gently toasting in the sun with the sweet smell of coconut oil in the air...but no, I dam near drowned on the way to work this morning.
I was teaching scrapbooking today at Edwin Allen, I love teaching scrapbooking, it it my favourite subject in the whole wide world...apart from Wine tasting of course...and I forgot to load a piccie on here last night of the page we were doing, I have promised my ladies that I will do that so they can decide which photos to bring to the class...I did however have a totally fabulous class and special thanks go to Kathy for the delish hot chocolate...nobody makes hot chocolate like this girl believe me.
So if anybody has a spare House elf to help me get everything done or a remedy for forgetfulness then please let me know...
I would say thanks for looking but tonight I think it`s thanks for listening xxx

Challenge set On Just Bex

Set my last challenge of the week over at Just Bex on Saturday evening and called it...Got your number, the challenge is to create a card or a layout with a number on it, nice simple challenge to finish off the week. I have three weeks until I am challenger again so have some time to come up with some new and exciting challenges. This layout is another page from Mias book of Miscellaneous photos, which I have nearly finished so can get it all photographed soon and posted.

Had a really busy weekend, hence no blogging, although blogger does not seem to want to upload any of my piccies...perhaps they are not good enough...had to upload this one straight from Picassa which I may well do in future as it seemed much faster. Went to another Christening yesterday, for twin boys, six months old and really cute but the weather was awful...call this July!!!

Friday feeling...

...I have had one of those days today, you know what I mean when you just don`t stop for the whole day and end up completely bone weary tired at the end of it, the day did not start too well when I slept through the alarm and had to screech at the kids to get them up and organised for school...managed to get them and myself all presentable and fed in less than 30minutes...after I had dropped the little lovies at school I came home to prepare a layout for a class next week and OMG...nothing went right, took me two hours to design the blooming page which I thought I had sorted in my head, when I put it all together nothing looked right...know what I mean...had a break and went to have my hair cut and I swear I am "shorn of the sheep" I said a couple of inches and I think she thought I said cut away to your hearts content my lovie! I will get used to it...in about three months when its all grown back...had a funday at the girlies school this afternoon and was just about to get in the fire engine with the hunky firemen when they got an emergency call and had to depart sirens blaring and all.....I was looking forward to chatting all about home safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then had to rush home drop off youngest daughter and go on to a class I was teaching with a group of youngsters who want to make some items to sell to raise money for their cheerleading group...had an absolute ball and managed to control a group of about 15 kids...but I am feeling the strain tonight...half way through a bottle of Pinot and my bones feel tired!!! All this and I forgot to help Mia with her "All about me" project which was due in today...guess what we will be doing this weekend.......................
