Sunday Sunshine...

....I have had a lovely relaxing day chilling out today, bit of shopping, pottering in the garden and walking in the sunshine.

Got myself this little beauty this morning, have wanted one for ages and its all singing and all dancing...well you know what I mean ;-)...a lil home for my ipod...

My ipod is very happy sat there can you tell...notice the Pet Shop Boys greatest hits on there...god I love them so much, was singing along whilst cooking Sunday dinner today...sad I know especially when the kids asked me who the hell is that mum and I had to explain how they were big when I was a kid...to which they replied...in the olden days then Mum...bloody kids!!!!

If you have this months issue of Simply Cards and Papercrafts....

You may have seen this....

Its little old me...and my cards in the introducing section because I am going to be designing for them...oh happy-est!!!

Early last year I completed a scrapbook page about my goals for the next year and one of them was to see my work in print...I have been designing for Papercraft Inspirations for about a year...its so amazing to see your work in print every time I love the feeling I get when I see my name next to a card in a magazine...and now I get to design for two magazines...how good is that!!!

As promised here is the layout I finished of Mia last night, I love this photo of her looking so cute and gorgeous a couple of years ago.

And finally...have been pottering with my plants today...bought some new ones and my veggies needed re potting...bought these gorgeous new pots today for my tomatoes and sunflowers too...look at my kitchen windowsill, how pretty

Off now to enjoy the fact that I do not have to get up and go to work tomorrow...yeah baby!!!

I am a cover Girl!!!

....Well I wish I really was but one of my designs made the cover of this months Papercraft Inspirations Magazine...OMG...How cool is that, this time last year I had never had any of my work published and now I have a little spot on the cover Yeah me!!!

The little turquoise gift bag right in the centre of the Magazine is mine!!!

I did a feature on the Bazzil stitching templates, they were so lovely to use and everyone who knows me will know that I love stitching, both real and doodled, on cards, so the feature really suited me and I combined them with some gorgeous Daisy Bucket papers in colours that I adore. Here is the feature...think it is on sale later this week.

Here is a little card I have made for a workshop I am teaching at Edwin Allen next week too, using a adorable little Tilda stamp, I really did not like these stamps when they first came out but they have really grown on me and I would love the full collection, how cool would that be.

Off now to have a celebratory glass of wine!!!

Wax Lyrical....

...My Candle making Class started today and it was so good to be teaching in a formal capacity again I loved every minute of it, my ladies are lovely, I know them all in one capacity or another and we had such a laugh too, waxing our wicks until they were stiff!!! Unfortunately a gentleman walked in just as I was trying to explain this to the ladies and we just fell about laughing at his poor face...needless to say he left very quickly!!!

I love teaching so much, I love to be able to teach somebody a new technique and my enthusiasm for what I do tends to motivate and enthuse others and this was certainly the case today, my ladies loved the class, almost as much as I did and we managed not to set fire to the wax, our hair or burn down the building and everyone left happy with their two candles slowly setting!!!

I can also share this layout with you, this is my third design team challenge for the Beary Box Blog and it went live today, I had real trouble with this sketch as I only ever usually scrap with one photos, so just because I like to be different I only used one photo!!!
This was the sketch:
and this is my layout:
Go and check out the blog, there are some very talented designers over there.
Ooh and almost forgot to mention I am published again today, if you have the latest copy of Papercraft Inspirations four of my cards are featured in the quick cards section...yay me!!!
Off now to pick the lumps of wax off my jumper!!!

Monday Madness...

I got a new handbag today...I haven`t had a new one for ages and the one I use everyday was quite literally falling to pieces, although I really love it, it fits everything including the kitchen sink in it... so after stroking and drooling over all the lush Radleys that were half price in Debenhams I took a deep breath, gritted my teeth and ...went to New Look and bought a £10 one, instead of the £90 one that I fell in love with!!!

And what was I met with from the men in my house tonight...Not another handbag...to which Ella and Mia replied...a girl can never have too many handbags...or shoes god I have them so well trained ;-)

I have had a busy evening this evening so far, I am planning a big commission, I recently received, for a magazine, I have lush papers everywhere at the moment although I am too busy stroking them to actually cut into them!!!

I have also completed these two layouts, yep I have used that scrummy Basic Grey again, I really need another pack of that now as I have depleted my stock of that...I am trying to keep busy as I have loads on my mind, mainly the fact that I have to file my Self Assessment in 10 DAYS and I haven`t even started sorting that out yet...anyone want to do it for me and I will make you some homemade fudge with alcohol ;-)

If you have a copy of this...this months issue of Papercraft Inspirations...

you will notice these in the pull out section...I made them!!!

It is such a great feeling actually seeing your work in print and knowing that people may like your designs enough to make them too!!!

Off now to look at the Inland Revenues website...god how much excitement can I take!!!

Cream Crackered...Published Cards and Workshop

I am shattered, absolutely bone weary tired, I can hear my bed calling for me, to snuggle up under the duvet and sleeeeeeeeeeeeep...I don`t even know why I am so Tired...not done anything out of the ordinary today, just fundraising chat this morning and library duty this afternoon, although about 2000 kids descended upon me at hometime and the sweet little computer program decided it was too hot to work so I had to do everything manually....stress head!!!

Managed to take some photos of the cards I designed that are featured in this months Papercraft Inspirations:

Thank you card

Graduation card

Sympathy card

Fun Love card
Birthday Card

It`s great to see my work in print

I am teaching a cardmaking workshop tomorrow at Edwin Allen and this is what my ladies will be creating:

Ooh and got my copy of Papercraft Inspirations today and five of my cards have been featured in the quick cards section in the middle...yeah me...will post piccies tomorrow.

I won the Star Card.....

...In Making Cards Mag...Latest issue came in to work today and I have won the star card on the readers gallery page...woohoo.

I initially made this card as a commission for a friend liked the way it turned out so photographed it and sent via email to the editor of Making Cards.

She emailed me back asking for a copy of the card so they could photograph it...so I had to make it all over again!!!

Anyway its great to see your work in print...I am a happy crafty bunny!!!

Here is the page it is on and it is a super cool photo too, scan is a bit iffy though.
