I HAVE BEEN......

.......STRESSED!!!

Which will explain why I have not blogged for a week!!!

My god, my kids were sent to test me last week!!!

I am not going to go into everything, I wont bore you with all the details but how I didn`t turn grey I don`t know...All is well now though, and I think life is pretty much back to normal...well as normal as it can be in our house anyway!!!

Had a couple of blast from the past moments this week too, had a student turn up at my new Jewellery class last night who used to come to my workshops, thought I had lost touch with her so it was lovely to see her again and I spoke to my old boss today too, who works at the college that Jack attends, it was lovely to catch up with her as she was the one who inspired me to take up teaching and gave me my first teaching job!!!

Have actually done a bit of crafting tonight, the reason I don`t get to blog too much lately is because I am teaching three evenings a week at the moment and Friday is reserved for Wine!!! I actually have mornings off now which is lovely but it`s almost a reversal of lifestyle which is really hard to adapt to, I am working afternoons and evenings and suppose I should be relaxing in the mornings as you would in the evening when you get home from work, but I tend to catch up on housework or emails and paperwork, rather than curl up with a book, so I seem to be super organised at the moment but have had to renew my library books today as I haven`t had time to read them...Rejoined the library when I was forced to stay home from work the week before last because of a few flakes of snow...that is how bored I was, although I love reading, I love books and being able to lose myself in another world so reading for free is fabulous...I am vowing never to accumulate another fine again!!!

So like I said, have actually made some cards tonight...was asked to make a birthday card with a teddy bear on...bought this stamp just before Christmas...

And with the leftovers I made this little tag...

Then I decided I wanted to make another little tag...

Will probably turn those into birthday cards, have a couple coming up soon.

And made this card, its Harry`s Birthday the week after next... so going to add his name and age to that I think and there is a job done!!!

Okay my only evening off until Friday...9pm and I am going to soak in some bubbles!!!

Ho Ho Ho....

...Merry Christmas lol!!!

For Jacks first Christmas my Mum and Dad bought him a talking Santa that said that...Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas, I still have it now although the batteries have run out...thank god...but loved that little Santa, the reason I am talking Santa Shite...been playing with my Fa La La cartridge for the slice, making samples tonight for my Demo on Saturday...I know its far to early to begin contemplating Christmas but hey crafters begin preparations in January I think!!!

Even I have started to think about Christmas shopping, although I have Ella`s birthday in November to get through first...and what on earth do you buy for kids that seem to have everything, they turn their noses up when I suggest clothes, and you don`t want to know what they tell me when I suggest sending what I would have spent on them to charity!!! Mia did ask me for an iphone a couple of weeks ago....she is 8 for heavens sake, when I was 8 I was still playing with Barbies and I am not convinced we even had a land line in our house let alone mobile phones!!! Oh how times have changed, is this a sign of me getting old do you think!!!

Me I quite fancy an iphone for Christmas either that or the new kodak printer, or maybe a hot fix gem tool but that is about as likely as Santa himself coming through my chimney...which would be bloody hard as I don`t have one!!!

Anyway getting into the Christmas spirit...almost...by creating these.....

Wall Hanging...

and a couple of toppers to show some of the shapes on the cartridge...

Been to Manchester today...after selling most of my bracelets I made this week I desperately needed some new beads...mmm got some gorgeous ones too, spent an hour in the bead shop stroking and choosing which ones would be coming home with me...lovely day off!!!

Back to work tomorrow after two days off...well I use that term loosely as I am completely shattered and think I actually do less when I am working.

Got to go and dole out Medication (neurofen) to Jack, who is still suffering with his "man flu" and seems to have very kindly passed it onto me...bless him!!!

Perfectly Passionate Pink Day

I have had a good crafty afternoon...after getting up at the crack of dawn...about 8am, did not even know that time existed on a Sunday morning...Even the birds were still asleep I think they said sod it to catching worms today! It`s been a long day, anyway had to go and buy a new iron this morning, mine was like one imported straight from toytown...advice do not buy the cheap and cheerful £6 Iron from Woolworths it`s pants. So I have done all my Washing, Ironing, Cleaning, attended a fundraising meeting for our local youth teams and created a layout a card and a tag...all for challenges set over on Just Bex.

The first is a layout, which I lifted. I love this creative imaginations paper so much and have used one 12 x 12 sheet to make all three projects today, hows that for using your scraps!!!
Mia in the pink train at the Fun Fair:
Card second and the challenge was to use an arrow...
And last but not least the challenge was to create a tag from your scraps:
I am off to tidy up my craft area...which no longer looks like it did a few posts down...do you know while I wasn`t looking little gremlins came in and made a terrible mess ;-)
Thanks for looking xxx

Tag...I`m it!!!

Beeen tagged a few times over with this one so if you are reading this consider yourself Tagged!!!

Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their 7 things.

1. I love Sunday dinner...I mean a PROPER sunday dinner, joint of meat with fresh herbs, roast potatoes, fresh veg, stuffing and real gravy followed by a proper pudding. My Dad is the best Sunday dinner maker in the WORLD and I have one of his dinners every week...yummmeeeee.

2. I was accepted on to three different university courses when I had completed my BTEC National Diploma in health studies after leaving school (which I passed with Distinction) Midwifery, Nursing and Health...I chose Midwifery...I completed 18 months out of the three years...when I fell pregnant...I was not allowed any time off for maternity leave as the course was 100% attendance!!!

3. I was married at 20 for 13 months and divorced by the time I was 23!

4. I have only been abroad once...when I was nine and have only had one holiday in the last 14 years...and that was a long weekend in Wales!!!

5. I have a tattoo of a scorpion on my back, it took me until I was 25 to pluck up the courage to have this done and it hurt like hell!!!

6. I own a star in the constellation of Scorpious...a very romantic birthday present from my OH.

7. I hate swimming, have never took any of my kids and have not owned a swimming costume since I was in high school and we were forced to do swimming as our school was attached to a leisure centre.
